Encrypting your information with your web3 wallet and blockchain technology.

Rehide makes it easier to protect your information by creating a note that is encrypted and hidden within an NFT, making it indecipherable by third parties.

In the New Item section, you will find an intuitive interface that allows you to create and encrypt your notes in simple steps to protect your information with blockchain backup.

Rehide does not use a Web2 database to store your data, so all the information is encrypted on the blockchain using the IPFS protocol in a decentralized manner, and it cannot be decrypted by anyone except you, using your wallet.

Creating a note to encrypt your information

Rehide uses Web3 technology to encrypt and grant access to your data. By connecting a wallet, such as MetaMask, you can manage all your signatures to encrypt and access your notes.

After connecting your wallet to our app as the first step, you can immediately start creating your encrypted notes to store sensitive information such as passwords, seed phrases, or any other data you want to protect and securely store.

Create a new note

To create and configure the options for your note, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "New" section in the menu.

  2. Enter a reference name or title for your note in the "Reference Name" field. This will help you identify and locate the note easily in the future. For example, you can use "Email Password" or "Seed Phrases."

  1. Secret: In this field, you should include the information you want to encrypt, such as seed phrases, passwords, or any other important data. This information can only be viewed if you unlock it with your wallet.

  2. Secret Type: You can select the type of data you want to encrypt, such as Text, 2FA Seed, and soon the option to attach files will be available.

  3. Choose the encryption option that suits your needs:

    • Wallet Signature: Your note will be encrypted with the signature of your web3 wallet. This is a straightforward encryption method that relies on the security of your wallet.

    • No Password (Public): This option allows your note to be shared and is encrypted with Rehide's algorithm. You can set additional functions, such as the maximum number of views, expiration time, and a price for reading it if desired.

    • Password: With this option, you can encrypt your note using a password of your choice. It provides an extra layer of security as strong as your password of choice. You can also set additional functions like maximum views, expiration time, and a price for reading it.

  4. Configure the access permissions and sharing options for your note:

  1. Share Note: Enable sharing options by adding the wallet addresses of authorized recipients. They will be able to unlock and view the note using the provided link or QR code.

  2. Access Permissions: Specify the wallet addresses that are allowed to decrypt the note if it's shared.

  1. Once you have configured the options, click on the encryption button to proceed. You will be prompted to sign your wallet and pay the network fees required for encryption. Confirm and approve the process.

By following these steps, you can create and customize your note with the desired encryption options and access permissions.
